Private International Law
 Doctor of Law (Cum Laude) - Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Master in Foreign Trade Law of the European Community - Europa Institute, University of Amsterdam. Carmen specialises in private international law and speaks several languages. She has successfully advised on all enforcement and recognition procedures of foreign judgments.
She has written numerous legal articles published in journals such as Spanish legislative journal La Ley, European Union, Community Law Review, the Spanish Journal of Business Law, the Journal of World Trade Law, and the Journal of International Economic Law. She also contributes to the Journal of the Spanish Court of Arbitration and the Spanish Yearbook of Private International Law.Books she has written include: International Oil Contracts (in press, IUSTEL, 2008); European Union Judicial Cooperation in Civil Matters. Cashing Debts (Dykinson, Madrid, 2007); and International Trade in Medicines (Dykinson, 2006).
